All original content published by the Canadian Institute for Exotic Science — the learning modules, the feasibility studies, the topic and reference pages, and the accompanying diagrams and prose — is released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0).
What this permits
You are free to share the material — copy and redistribute it in any medium or format — and to adapt it — remix, transform, and build upon it — for any purpose, including commercially. The Institute cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the licence terms.
The one condition
Attribution. You must give appropriate credit to the Canadian Institute for Exotic Science, provide a link to this licence, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the Institute endorses you or your use.
No additional restrictions: you may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the licence permits.
The full legal text
This page is a human-readable summary and not a substitute for the licence. The full, canonical legal text is maintained by Creative Commons at creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/.
A note in the Institute's spirit
The four-flag honesty system asks that any claim carry an honest label of its certainty. If you adapt or extend this material, the Institute asks — as a matter of shared practice rather than licence obligation — that you preserve that honesty: keep the flags, or if you change a claim's standing, change its flag to match. Open distribution is only worth something if what travels is accurate about how sure it is.
